Without a doubt Alia Kisor. Was first runner up a few times and placed at every prelim she competed in. Alyson Tyler as well. Appears well rounded in all phases. Look foward to seeing both at Miss Arkansas next year!
Based on what I saw in the pageants I attended this year, I think Kourtney Kellar and Elli Fowler should be at Miss Arkansas. Both were 1st runner up twice. Hopefully they will continue to work and we'll see them there next year.
We now have our contestants for for Miss Arkansas this summer. There are always girls who should have been there and for one reason or another didn't make it. I'd like to give these girls a little recognition so give me one girl's name who should be going to Miss Arkansas and isn't.
I've got several high quality pageant gowns for sale. Most of these I wore in the Miss Arkansas pageant or related functions. Links to photos of most of the items are below.
Cocktail-length lavender spaghetti strap dress with empire waist and beaded top, by Alyce Designs. Sheer lavender train starts at empire waist and falls to floor, with split in the front. Flows behind you as you walk. Size 8. $125 or best offer.
Cocktail-length pale pink spaghetti strap dress with off-white lace overlay, by Jessica McClintock. Matching gauzy off-white shawl goes with it. Size 6. $60 or best offer.
Red satin halter-top ball gown from David's Bridal, with matching red satin shawl. Size 4. $75 or best offer.
AND THE BIG ONE - Royal blue velvet strapless Tony Bowls evening gown. Sweetheart neckline with rhinestone embellishment along top. "Mermaid" cut with slit up to mid thigh. Matching sheer royal blue shawl included. Seriously red-carpet worthy. I bought it for $1200 but would consider selling it for $600, or best offer. Size 6/8, but fits more like size 4/6. This dress rocks.

We all know this is just for fun because we have no idea what the judges see in interview or which girl truly wants this crown badly enough. We also know that she has to be Miss America ready to win this title because she has very little time to prepare. Unfortunately, I do not know many of the new girls, so this is a hard list for me. Good luck to everyone.
Abby Lindsey (good interview) Loren McDaniel (good talent) Ashton Campbell (looks good in all phases, but young) Lauren Howell (looks good in all phases) Riley Snell (not my first pick) Makenzie Moore (talented, pretty girl) Klancy Johnson Jennifer Ulloa (cute girl/well rounded, may get lost in the crowd) Ashley Walthall (great talent) Sam Hudon (pretty girl)
BUBBLE: Claudio Raffio (good talent)
MY LIST OF POSSIBLE TALENT WINNERS Bethany Bell - piano Caitlyn Cook - vocal Loren McDaniel - vocal Makenzie Moore - ballet en pointe Ashley Walthall - tap Kendreka Myles - vocal
This list is based on last year's performance because I am not familiar with all of the newbies. I am sure this list will change once the competition starts!
Riley Snell Abby Lindsay. (She may have this if she gets herself in shape) Lauren Howell Jennifer Ulloa (she is adorable) Ashton Campbell (she is in the best shape I have ever seen her in) Klancy Johnson (she needs to smile more) Brittany Humphrey (she is likeable and driven) Abbie Hile (looks and talent, but how is her interview?) Claire Hodgson (beautiful, old Hollywood glamor -this could be her break-out year) MaryLacey Thomson (extremely talented, is in great shape)
Bubbles: Loren McDaniel (good talent) Bethany Bell ( talented, needs to loosen up a little) Kendryka Miles ( good talent, needs to get her body in shape) Ashley Walthall (interview?) Makaila Wilson (interview?)
I agree with almost all of Birdieman top 10, with exception a few. New year and new judges I think that sevearl of these girls that were top 10 last year could miss the cut this year. We have 2 months to see who wants the crown and is willing to work for it. Lets go ladies, its anyones game this year!
Look at the bigger picture. Have you seen Miss America sing, dance, or perform at any of her appearances? Miss America, even if she is a singer, rarely performs her talent at appearances. Talent is for entertainment in appropriate venues. Miss Arkansas is not a singing competition. It is a multifaceted competition that seeks someone who is strong in all categories.
